PMF Sponsorship

In appreciation of your strong support for the workshop, we are pleased to offer funding through the Peritoneal Malignancies Fellowship (PMF) Programme to assist overseas delegates in attending the event. This sponsorship includes coverage of registration fees and a travel grant of up to SGD $1,400. If you are interested, please indicate your interest during registration, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Overview

PMF Sponsorship is for overseas delegates from low-middle-income-countries (LMICs). Each application will be assessed to evaluate the suitability and quality of the application and to ensure that the award of the PMF Sponsorship is in line with the overall mission of the programme.

Aims

 The aims of the award of the PMF Sponsorship for Overseas Delegates are as follows:

  • To equip local / international fellows with specific skills and experience relevant to their area of clinical training and education.

  • To facilitate education on surgical skills, basics and advanced peritoneal surface malignancy, other essential trainings and skill/knowledge exchange among both local and overseas clinicians.

  • To encourage, foster networking and to develop research collaborations with local and overseas institutions.
     

Eligibility
  • This award is for local/international fellows from local, ASEAN and International countries.

  • This award is open to surgeons and para-medical staff in surgical units working in government hospitals, national centres, non-profit hospitals and medical schools.

  • The applicant must have an official employment (permanent/ contract) throughout the effective award period.

  • The project’s aims and objectives, and/or the same application have not been funded by other funding agencies.

  • The potential of fellows to assume active clinical roles in the partner hospitals/institutions upon their return will be considered in the sponsorship assessment.

  • Applications that do not fulfil the eligibility criteria will be automatically disqualified.

  • The conference/workshop that applicants are attending should be related to their surgical specialties and/or is essential for their scope of work, allowing them to hone their skills for future operations.
     

Financial Assistance

Award of the PMF Sponsorship for local/international fellows will consist of the following:

 

Conference / Workshop registration fees

  • Will be sponsored and paid directly to Workshop/Conference Committee.

  • Prepayment by delegates is not required.

 

  • Travel Grant of up to $1,400 SGD dollars covering the following:

    • Return airfare by most economical and direct route, includes visa fee if applicable

    • Accommodation

    • Prepayment by delegates is required.

 

Travel Grant will be reimbursed to delegates upon successful physical attendance of the workshop/ and upon receiving the Visit/Attendance Report (Refer to Point E below). The Peritoneal Malignancies Fellowship Workshop / Institution is not responsible for any incurred costs as a result if delegates are unable to attend workshop.
 

All claims are subjected to the prevailing Programme/ Institution financial policies and may be modified by the management. However, all grantees will be notified in good time well before the start of the workshop if there are any changes to the financial policies.
